What the steps leave out.
The connected minutes, at the Guide's per-minute rate. Voice, video and chat are all billed at that same rate. Browsing, filtering and reading profiles in full are free and always will be.
Scheduled sessions and async questions do not need anyone to be online. Book a time that suits you both, or send a written question with attachments and get a considered answer back on the Guide's own time.
After the session is complete and the dispute window has passed. Until then it sits in your wallet as escrow, which is what makes a refund for a genuine issue possible rather than a negotiation.
Bad audio, a no-show, a session cut short, or an answer that turns out to be off-topic for what you asked. Report it and the funds do not leave escrow.
