Filtering and reading a profile in full are free and open, with no account in the way. Deciding who is worth twenty minutes is the part you should never have to pay for.

Where we are

The founding Guide cohort is being onboarded.

Rather than fill this page with profiles that do not exist yet, here is what is already true of every Guide you will find, and below it how to read a card. Browsing by domain works now, and so does everything that explains the mechanics.

Guides are working professionals sharing their own experience. Every profile shows the role they state, their work history and every rated session behind them.

  • Free to browse

Profiles, work history, rates and every rated session are open. No account, no email, nothing to dismiss before you can look.

  • The rate is on the card

Set by the Guide, shown per minute before you start, and timestamped when it changes. You never find out what it costs afterwards.

  • You pay for the minutes you talk

The meter starts when they pick up and stops when you hang up. Hang up as soon as you have your answer.

  • Browse who is on right now, read a full profile, and connect when you find the right person.

Reading a Guide card

Six things, in the order the decision gets made.

  1. Who they are, and where

Role and employer as two separate fields, as the Guide states them, so you can judge the pair rather than a job title in general.

  2. Whether that is checkable

Badges come only from completed, well-rated sessions. They are earned and cannot be bought, which is the only reason they are worth reading.

  3. What they can speak to

Up to three domains. A Guide who claims everything is telling you they have not chosen, and the card only has room for three on purpose.

  4. What other people got

A rating and a session count. Every rating is tied to a paid, completed session, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to brigade.

  5. What it costs

A per-minute rate the Guide sets themselves. Rate changes are timestamped on the profile, which is what makes the number worth trusting.

  6. Whether they are free now

The only field on the card that means something different at 2pm than at 2am, and the only one that gets a colour.

Nothing here costs anything to read.

Browse the domains, read the mechanics, and sign up only when you want to talk to someone.
