Grievance officer

The named person a complaint reaches.

India's Information Technology Rules require an intermediary to publish the name and contact details of a grievance officer, and to acknowledge a complaint within a set period. This page is where those details go, and it is the reason it exists as its own route rather than as a paragraph in the terms.

Draft, pre-launch

This document is a structure and a statement of product policy, not legal advice, and it is not final. It is published on a pre-launch site so the policy it describes can be reviewed alongside the product. The clauses marked below need drafting and review by qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction before the platform opens.

What this route is for

A complaint that has not been resolved through the ordinary reporting route, or one about the platform itself rather than about a session.

  • For a session, a profile or a message, report and block are one tap away and are faster.
  • For anything about your data, the privacy page covers what is collected and what is not.
  • For money, cancellations and refunds covers what is refundable.

Officer name, designation, address, email and acknowledgement timeline

The statutory details, which must name a real person at a real address and cannot be filled in before the entity exists and the appointment is made.

Needs counselThis section is not drafted. It is listed so the gap is visible rather than absent, and so this page can be handed to a lawyer as a brief.

Escalation beyond the platform

The route to the relevant regulator or consumer forum, and the reference to India's Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules.
